July 17, 2026 | Royal Ashburn Golf Club | Uxbridge, Ontario
There are some wedding days that feel like a celebration from the very beginning. Emma and Todd’s wedding day was one of those days.
From a laughter-filled morning at Todd’s family home in Uxbridge to a beautiful ceremony centred around Jesus, followed by a joyful reception full of laughter and tradition, their July 17th wedding at Royal Ashburn was a beautiful reflection of who they are and what matters most to them.
As a Toronto wedding photographer, I love photographing weddings throughout the GTA and Durham Region, but there is something especially meaningful about documenting a couple whose faith is such an important part of their story. Emma and Todd’s wedding day wasn’t simply about becoming husband and wife. It was about celebrating the goodness of God and the people He had placed around them.
The morning began at Todd’s family home in Uxbridge, and what a beautiful place it was. The property was surrounded by lush greenery, peaceful ponds and so many beautiful natural details. Inside, the home was filled with gorgeous natural light and featured a stunning stone fireplace — the perfect setting for the quiet moments, excitement and anticipation of the morning. But more than the beautiful setting, what stood out most was the atmosphere.
There was so much laughter.
So much love.
And a beautiful sense of excitement for what the day ahead would bring.

As a Toronto wedding photographer, these getting-ready moments are some of my favourites to photograph. They aren’t just about hair, makeup and putting on a dress. They are the beginning of the story.
The hugs.
The happy tears.
The laughter in between.
The little glances.
The moments with family and friends that happen before the ceremony even begins.
For Emma and Todd, the morning was filled with all of it.
And woven throughout the day was something even more meaningful — their love for Jesus.
Faith wasn’t simply an element of Emma and Todd’s wedding day. It was woven throughout the entire celebration. Their ceremony was filled with prayer and worship, creating a beautiful atmosphere as they gathered with their closest family and friends to witness them become husband and wife.
One of the most meaningful moments was worship through “The Goodness of God.”
There was something incredibly beautiful about hearing those words and watching Emma and Todd surrounded by the people they love, celebrating not only their marriage but God’s faithfulness. Their ceremony felt personal, intentional and deeply rooted in their faith.
It was a reminder that a wedding day can be about more than beautiful flowers, gorgeous details and a stunning venue.
It can be about what your marriage is built upon.
And for Emma and Todd, that foundation is Jesus.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued at Royal Ashburn Golf Club in Whitby, Ontario.
Royal Ashburn is such a beautiful wedding venue in the Durham Region, with its elegant spaces and picturesque grounds providing plenty of opportunities for wedding portraits.
As a Toronto wedding photographer, I love the variety the venue offers. There are beautiful spaces for portraits, room for candid moments and plenty of opportunities to capture a wedding gallery that feels both elegant and personal.
And Emma and Todd’s portraits were exactly that.
Romantic, joyful and completely them.

If the ceremony was heartfelt and meaningful, the reception was an absolute celebration.
The room was filled with laughter, happy tears, incredible energy and so many meaningful traditions.
There is something special about watching a couple’s personalities come alive during their reception. After months — sometimes years — of planning, the formalities begin to fade and everyone gets to simply celebrate.
Emma and Todd’s reception was full of those moments.
The kind of moments that aren’t necessarily planned.
The laughter between friends.
The stories shared by family.
The traditions that have been passed down.
The spontaneous moments on the dance floor.
And all of the little interactions happening around the room.
Those are the photographs that often become some of the most treasured images in a wedding gallery.
Because years from now, you may not remember exactly what time dinner was served. But you’ll remember the way your dad looked at you.
You’ll remember your friends laughing.
You’ll remember the feeling of being surrounded by everyone you love.
And you’ll remember how incredibly happy you were.
One of my favourite things about being a Toronto wedding photographer is that I get to tell the entire story of a wedding day — not just photograph the big moments.
A wedding gallery should feel like more than a collection of pretty pictures.
It should take you back. You should be able to look at an image and remember the sound of someone’s laugh. The feeling of your husband’s hand in yours. The excitement before walking down the aisle. The emotion during a prayer. The way your friends danced. The feeling of being surrounded by the people who mean the most to you.
That’s what I’m always looking for when I photograph a wedding — the moments within the moments.

Congratulations, Emma & Todd. 🤍
May your marriage always be filled with the same joy, laughter, love and faith that surrounded you on your wedding day.
